If New Order were out on the West Coast of America, they would have turned out like this. Why these guys aren't considered as relevant, speaks volumes on our times. A great disc, period.

  1. Between its fizzy lyrics, brittle guitar riffs, cheesy Casio keyboards, and primitive rhythms, the record seems very much out of touch with contemporary pop; its ebullience and innocence hark back to a time that now seems very long ago.
  2. Much popier than the band’s previous efforts, this is a fun album with catchy beats, cool guitars and a lo-fi sound.
  3. Full of breezy vocals and sunny instrumentation, this album redefines beach music for the new millennium.
