  • Summary: Rapper 50 Cent's backing posse attempts to capitalize on the runaway success of their leader's 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' with this, their own debut LP (which does indeed feature 50 Cent on each and every track).
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 6 out of 11
  2. Negative: 2 out of 11
  1. 50 Cent's star appeal and the other member's solid skills make Beg For Mercy a solid debut album.
  2. 60
50's signature wit is notably absent, so the fate of G-Unit hinges largely on his posse. [Jan 2004, p.104]
  3. Seriously poor, lowest common denominator bullshit.

I bought this album after hearing 50s really good singles from Get Rich or Die Tryin. This was a bit of a let down. If you do not like rap do not go near this album. However if you do some of the tracks are really good - popping them thangs - but there is not that catchy background music just rapping. Expand
  4. Beg for mercy had it's moments but it wasnt a strong record. Banks was the best on this album as much as i like G-unit & 50 cent this wasnt that god of an album Expand
