Some of the playfulness of their early days is missed on Best of 00-10, the loose analog charm of their earliest songs would have given the collection a little more lift. But these 17 songs collectively are a hell of a strong argument for why you're still reading about Ladytron now instead of, say, Miss Kittin or Fischerspooner or Peaches.

00-10 isn't quite flawless. ...As an example of 'The Great Pop Synth Band', though, it unearths many fine museum-worthy pieces and captures a band in both their 'Bontempi' and 'Imperial' phases.
  3. The internationalist (Scouse-Chinese-Scottish-Bulgarian-Israeli) electro-rock quartet may not have presented a comprehensive summary of their career here, but it's a superb starting point for Ladytron latecomers.

Overall, this is a generous, beautifully packaged retrospective of one of the 2000s' premier synth pop acts.

If you love synth-pop's romantic attachment to a grand, bleak, European aesthetic, then this is the Best Of for you.

So a collection like this is a timely reminder of what they've achieved; from the cold, hard sounds of 604 to the futuristic disco of Witching Hour, Best of 00-10 is a comprehensive over view of endlessly interesting band.

Longtime fans won't find much to be excited about, but for an extended introduction to the band, the icy-cool, eyeliner-infused songs should inspire complete devotion. [May 2011, p.90]
