Having never heard of Egyptrixx before I was purely drawn to it by its high Metascore and name.
after listening to it I found that it was rather enjoyable. some of the tracks are fairly monotonous and there is a lack in melody, such as the track 'Phones' however there are some real gems.
enjoyable, but i wouldn't buy it.

It's a highly enjoyable, synthetic, dark, and nearly purely techno experience. Standouts like "Chrysalis Records", show Egyptrixx's ability with manipulating his sound into his specific (and rather dark) desires. If their forthcoming albums match the confidence and uniqueness of Bible eyes, Night Slugs may enjoy another year in the spotlight. [May 2011, p.49]

Credit Egyptrixx for making a debut album that sounds at once so unified and whole, yet like absolutely nothing else.

Egyptrixx avoids the brittle tastelessness of modern electro and Fool's Gold party-starting by allowing a touch of that cold, spacious futurism to creep in.
