EprApr 11, 20053this album is about as bad as the single. at least the last album had a couple of good songs, this one is just plain bad.

JDApr 12, 20054Garbage's laziest effort to date. Highly dissapointed in a band that created two of the best albums of the 90s, even garning a Best Album of Year Grammy nomination for "Version 2.0". Surely, this can't be the same band. Even the flop "BeautifulGarbage" was more creative and interesting than this effort.

StoneFApr 26, 20054It is Garbage as usual with hard hits, strong balads and a smooth Shirley. The problem is it sounds an awful like Beautiful Garbage. Perhaps this is the direction they want to go. I thought there best work was Version 2.0 - which still leaves me listening again and again. But that's me.

Decepticon_PomApr 27, 20050It's like someone took four of the most visceral people in rock and sucked all the talent out of them. Words fail me - there was more conviction and depth in that Garth Brookes album in which he "became" a whole new character commiting career suicide in the process. It's that bad!

V.Z.May 12, 20053It's very unfortunate.

AndreaHMay 9, 20052This is a horribly bland and tired album. Wake me up when it's over!

PaulHJul 11, 20050such a obvious attempt to try and reclaim the success that they once had. as bad as beautifulgarbage was at least they tried to do something different, to change things up. listening to this album puts you in a timewarp to 1996, it sounds so badly dated before the album even ends. I can't even believe i use to like this band.

KimKApr 19, 20054It can't help but be well produced, but the songs are abrasive and the lyrics have slipped from cruel to petty. Shirley Manson is always a treat vocally, but this is a soulless outing. Too bad Curve just broke up; Garbage could have learned something from Geri and Dean!

Humongous hooks. [15 Apr 2005, p.77]
-
The first two-thirds of Bleed Like Me is easily the best sustained run of studio Garbage since the opening half of their 1995 debut.

60While Manson's changeling vocals are always worth listening to, Garbage's songs often aren't.
