There is little of artistic merit on here. She has nothing to say either. An insubstantial collection of pop pap.

Derivative, weak, substanceless, and insipid are the words that should really describe this album....I couldn't quite believe the woman singing such naive unsophisticated lyrics was actually 36 y/o....shocking! it defintely does not deserve such praise as it has got here. A suite of weak songs and half-finished ideas. [Mar 2004, p.120]
  2. Body Language isn’t so much a massive artistic leap as it is a total distillation of her sound and style.
  3. Body Language finds Kylie partying like it's 1987 all over again, only minus the dubious millinery and Jason Donovan, taking inspiration from the likes of Kool and the Gang and Prince to pleasing if not always memorable effect.
