  • Summary: The dance-pop diva, still going strong at 35, returns with a new album.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 9 out of 17
  2. Negative: 2 out of 17
  1. May well be the best album of her career.
  2. Yes, the melodies are a little sillier this time around, however the electro-funk grooves are doubly irresistible.
  3. The sexy, solid set is glued together by danceable beats and Minogue's knack for picking great songs and producers.
  4. You can’t help but get lost in Minogue’s music.
  5. Still, even though Body Language is a bit of a misstep for Minogue, there's a sense of class to it.
  6. Long stretches prove mysteriously hookless, arid, or burdened by Minogue foregrounding a voice that withers in the glare of the spotlight.
  7. There's something rote and antiseptic about the album's party mood--the electro-beats' clean squelch, the undercooked hooks, the odd primness of Kylie's singing.

If you think of reliving the 'fever' era, think twice... This petitie lady shows she's got more to offer and here to stay. "Slow" shines with it's simplicity."Red blooded woman" hits with the right notes, moves and do watch the sizzling MTV. Considering her most recent win of "Dance record of the year" at the grammy fighting against Madonna and other strong contenders - she is not only fluff but more than meets the eye. Expand

Its one of the Kylies best , "ever", much more mature, crative and fresh. Timeless, it is the bridge to connect America (even south) with her. Her creativity never ends. Expand

Kylie Minogue is not oversexed but undeniably sultry and seductive. Although this album lacked some spark in the US, Body Language is a masterpiece of dance, seduction, catchy beats and perfect production. There is nothing dramitically done with her genuine voice in the age of pop stars being made by computers. While her voice doesn't boast the power of fellow pop star divas like P!nk and Christina Aguilera she inevitably can still churn out one of the best dance/pop albums of 2004. Fantastic. Expand

Derivative, weak, substanceless, and insipid are the words that should really describe this album....I couldn't quite believe the woman singing such naive unsophisticated lyrics was actually 36 y/o....shocking! it defintely does not deserve such praise as it has got here. Kylie's Grammy win was a joke too, with such a weak album that so obviously was rushed they had to give it to here to get America interested again. Unfortunately this stands as Minogue's worst recording....EVER! Collapse
