    Excellent, got older like fine wine, a classic that brought inspiration for other artists and even for the public in general in fashion style, in lifestyle, to compose and it goes.     It's just so sad how critics can be so mean, after her performance in SNL, this is one of the wronged scores of all times! This album simply defined the decade and influenced most of the young artists we have today.

Si bien, el álbum puede llegar a sonar incompleto en algún pequeño y casi notorio punto nos podemos dar cuenta de que Lana nos mete en su peligroso mundo con hombres mayores, Pepsi-Cola y drogas desde la segunda canción, haciendo que el álbum cobre vida propia.

    Lana Del Rey is an artist. Her debut album 'Born to Die' is definitely one of the best musical projects I have ever listened to. The cohesiveness of the album combined with the soft vocals and strong messages portrayed on each track make for an excellently told tragic love story. I don't know how she will be able to one up this project because this is literal perfection. I am so lucky toLana Del Rey is an artist.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love Lana's voice. The first song of her's I listened was young and beautiful. So naturally I took some time before listening to her past albums. Born to die has many little pockets of hidden vocal genius-ness. When I looked up the album online most of the appreciation was towards title track and video games. But what got my attention was off to the races and Lolita. She uses two different voices there - a bold, deep voice when she sings to the listener and a high pitched squeaky voice when she sings to her old man. The interesting fact is that research shows older men (let's say 35-45) like the squeaky voice more in a woman because that indicates the youthfulness of a female. As in they prefer young girls. It's so intelligent if Lana to modulate her voice to signify the difference. Lolita, the song itself is inspired from the book Lolita in which an older man is in love with a 14 year old girl. This hidden gem -her voice modulation- sadly is so easily overlooked. This is an added bonus to the lyrical masterpieces she's produced. The production of the songs did not remove her vulnerability and emotions.… Expand

The production gets to be too repetitive and too over the top with hip-hop beats arranged with ballads, 21st century trip-hop if you will. Unfortunately the demos for this album leaked prior to its release, and some of them are much better than the final tracks.     Lana Del Rey is a cool and a kind person, but seriously, every album that she release it looks like the same. Only a few singles that she released were good for her career - and these singles were the songs that was most successful for her. It's sad that she loves talking only about sex, drugs and death. Unfortunate!

    Her best album in my opinion. Her voice paired with her lyrics and the violins and hip-hop beats are so different than what we hear today. It is a perfect album. Every single song is perfectly written. Each song is poetry. She really knows how to convey emotion in her singing. This was a perfect album.

    Only 62 from the critics? Really? It's a shame. I mean, Summertime Sadness, Born To Die, Video Games, Blue Jeans and of course Dark Paradise...This album represents Alternative music in the 2010s. She's like the Queen of Alternative and indie pop and this album proves that.

    It's been years since this album got released, and I am still hopelessly in love with it, and it's been amazing, watching Lana grow. I love the music, I love her voice, I love her lyrics, I love how thoughtful it is (who takes the opening words of the novel after which a song on the record is named, and makes them into the chorus of another song?), I love the philosophy behind it.
