  • Summary: Just when you feared the New Jersey hair band would never release another album, they did. Oh joy.

  1. Minor flaws aside, these Jersey boys have paid a tribute to their neighboring city befitting that famous New York attitude.
  2. In reality Bounce is the next chapter in an incredibly successful non-descript novel about love won and lost in times of turmoil, with plenty of songs that even a championship soccer team could sing.
  3. The rock hardly rocks, the ballads are flat, and the efforts at mature storytelling are sadly uninspired, and, often, utterly cheeseball.... [B]ut regardless of its flaws, it's a welcome addition to the Bon Jovi collection.
  4. Bounce is the sound of a group who know what they're good at and why. [Nov 2002, p.97]

Bounce may sound flat in a few years, but by then its job--to see another million people, and rock them all--will be done. [#11, p.128]
  6. The ballads sound more mawkish than ever and the rockers sound, well, a lot like bad Bruce Springsteen rip-offs.
  7. 40
Bon Jovi's best one-two album kickoff punch since Slippery When Wet's "Let it Rock" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." But unfortunately, it's downhill from there.

I liked this album. And it maybe a little out of bound for Bon Jovi but it's not that bad. These days wasn;t good at al but with the coming of Crush and Bounce the music went up again. So a 9 is in order. Expand

Liked the CD even though I think it's they're worst one since they're first ever album. Someone tell Jon enough with the ballads already. I don't understand why they still fill they're albums with ballads when they're most successful songs recently haven't been ballads. Expand

Bon Jovi's Bounce us a great album. It has minor flaws, but it's still an awesome album from an awesome band. BJ's ballads lack in quality. I especially dislike Joey. Anyway, the album as a whole is cool and solid. I especially Undivided, Everyday, Hook Me Up, Misunderstood and Bounce. Richie's solos are not as good as they used to be, but they're OK. The band still clicks with harmony. Expand
