  1. The rock hardly rocks, the ballads are flat, and the efforts at mature storytelling are sadly uninspired, and, often, utterly cheeseball.... [B]ut regardless of its flaws, it's a welcome addition to the Bon Jovi collection.
  2. Bounce is the sound of a group who know what they're good at and why. [Nov 2002, p.97]
  3. The title Bounce is meant to be an exhortation to America after 9/11, and if it doesn't exactly offer poetic catharsis, the existence of the eighth Bon Jovi record is reassurance of a different kind: Life goes on.

Bounce may sound flat in a few years, but by then its job--to see another million people, and rock them all--will be done. [#11, p.128]
  5. The ballads sound more mawkish than ever and the rockers sound, well, a lot like bad Bruce Springsteen rip-offs.
  6. 40
Bon Jovi's best one-two album kickoff punch since Slippery When Wet's "Let it Rock" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." But unfortunately, it's downhill from there.
  7. In reality Bounce is the next chapter in an incredibly successful non-descript novel about love won and lost in times of turmoil, with plenty of songs that even a championship soccer team could sing.

Bon Jovi's Bounce us a great album. It has minor flaws, but it's still an awesome album from an awesome band. BJ's ballads lack in quality. IBon Jovi's Bounce us a great album. It has minor flaws, but it's still an awesome album from an awesome band. BJ's ballads lack in quality. I especially dislike Joey. Anyway, the album as a whole is cool and solid. I especially Undivided, Everyday, Hook Me Up, Misunderstood and Bounce. Richie's solos are not as good as they used to be, but they're OK. The band still clicks with harmony. Full Review »

Liked the CD even though I think it's they're worst one since they're first ever album. Someone tell Jon enough with the Liked the CD even though I think it's they're worst one since they're first ever album. Someone tell Jon enough with the ballads already. I don't understand why they still fill they're albums with ballads when they're most successful songs recently haven't been ballads. Full Review »
