  1. Brink never reaches a full serotonin explosion like "Confessions on a Dancefloor," but at least Lauper has taken after the competition and found a new groove.
  2. Made with a handful of production teams, it’s a stubbornly fluorescent record, long on thudding downbeats and short on nuance or grace.
  3. There is some filler here and there, but the record is fun and catchy.
