  1. The textures are right but Our Lady Peace remain deficient in hooks and melodies, something that didn't matter as much when their sound boiled with indignation instead of merely simmering, as it does here.
  2. while the first single, 'All You Did Was Save My Life,' provides some much-needed bite, "Burn Burn" is ultimately ballad-heavy and one-dimensional.

All You Did Was Save My Life sounds very much like their previous latest radio friendly singles (Somewhere Out There, Innocent, Thief), but All You Did Was Save My Life sounds very much like their previous latest radio friendly singles (Somewhere Out There, Innocent, Thief), but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. The rest is more experimental, not the way Spiritual Machine was, but still a mile away from most of their work. Most of these songs sound great and consist in good poetry with melodic music. There are also some bits that remind me of Raine Maida Full Review »
