Despite being a good 30 years out of time, it's absolutely brilliant.

A (largely instrumental) record that's considerably more sophisticated, atmospheric, and arty than some of his professed inspirations.

Ticks all the boxes you'd expect of retro-futurist cosmic disco – chugging italo basslines, chunky synths, ridiculous arpeggios, crashing guitars straight outta Miami Vice – but it's the way they're put together that elevates it into more interesting and original territorry.

While he's not breaking any boundaries, when Moore keeps the tempo up.... he's as good as any other would-be Moroder, even if the title track's lyrics and FM swagger owes as much to US soft rock behemoths Foreigner as it does to Studio 54. [Jun 2012, p.107]
