Break of Dawn; Long for an intro-type track, but it builds up for the next track pretty well. 8 of 10. Track-02. Fantasy; This song is amazing, enjoyed it. Has a great upbeat melody with Michael Jackson inspired vocals. This may be my favorite track on the album, but lets keep going. 10 of 10. Track-03. One Out Of Two; Starts off easy, with a nice little jam on the electric guitar. There are so many nice samples in this song from violins, and metallic sounding percussion instruments. Very funky feel to it as well. 9 of 10. Track-04. By Your Side Part 1; Oh no, not a part 1&2 track, I hate when this happens, especially when the parts are back to back! Just trying to carve a single for radio play out of something that can't really be played on the radio right? Well that's all that is going on here. The slower part 1 is a transition track. 5 of 10. Track-05. By Your Side Part 2; Oh yes, this is a very lucid dreamy type of track. The vocals are clamming and melodic, featuring some awesome synth work, kind of reminded me of the Daft Punk Discovery album (just a lot more funky). Gets repetitive and fails to go many places though. 8 of 10. Track-06. You Should Know; Very funky, probably the best baby making song on this album. The lyrics are so cliche yet catchy you don't care, and the bass line is orgasmic. Oh yes, this is the stuff. 9 of 10. Track-07. The Mayfly and the Light; A strangely slow to start up song from what we just came from. It is heavy with it's bass line, but not as enjoyable. Some of the vocals in this song are scratchy and turn me off pretty hard. "I'm just a bird without wings, longing to take flight" scratches at my ear the wrong way. Don't really like this track, but it isn't a deal breaker. 5 of 10. Track-08. Programme; The album suddenly went disco? Okay, I'll roll with it. Let's see where this funky disco track goes. What is that? It doesn't go much of anywhere? Sure three minutes in you get this lame sounding guitar solo (really lame might I add). Meh, not my cup of tea, 4 of 10, next. Track-09. Easy Fraction; The disco is gone, now we have an urban type beat going on, and it works really nicely. This song sadly is just a short transition track. 7 of 10. Track-10. Baby I'm Yours; This is a funky love jam. "Your wish is my command" as cliche as it is sounds good here. Soft 8 of 10. Track-11. Another Dawn; This really feels like a Digital Love inspired song, but I could be wrong. Gets boring near the end, but it isn't a bad song. 6 of 10. Track-12. Why; This is the longest track on the lp, and brings back the Michael Jackson inspired vocals. Funky bass line, funky guitar riffs, and some dream-pop styled effects mix into a pretty well rounded song. 8 of 10. Track-13. A Mile Away; Strangely the vocals on this track remind me of John Mayer at first. Then it slips down toward a more Passion Pit sounding style all together. Not a bad track, not my favorite though. As a penultimate track it doesn't really do anything to close up the album, but hey, that's not a requirement. 6 of 10. Track-14. Intersection; So how does one end this album? With a short dream pop track mixed in with some funkadelic. I guess that works just fine now doesn't it. 7 of 10. Average score of 7.14. This album gets a strong seven though because it is just a fun album worth hearing. Hope my reviews help, let me know if they do or don't.… Expand
