The Grenoble DJ/producer's third and best solo release, may feature some ropey lyrics, but the sultry dominatrix voice in which she intones them helps her get away with it. [Jul 2013, p.108]

The DJ, producer and singer-songwriter's solo third suggests there's no shame in sticking to your retro-futurist guns, as long as you fire off the odd unexpected volley. [Jun 2013, p.76]

It’s not going to garner the accolades of Shaking the Habitual, but there’s enough here worth exploring to make this double disc a pretty good listen.

On Calling from the Stars, Miss Kittin's ambition comes off as both a blessing and hindrance; it's a cycle of ideas that unendingly feel very close to wearing out its welcome.

The end result sounds like a shameful karaoke. Nonetheless, fans of Miss Kittin should still give Calling From The Stars a go, as it remains her most accomplished solo release to date.

Somewhere in these two discs there is a very good hour long album laying in wait. In it's current form though, it's merely a decent one in need of editing.
