Earnest and joyful throughout, they don't make records like this anymore, so be glad Anathallo didn't listen and made one anyway.
  2. this album is never less than interesting. It’s just that with but a touch of discipline, they could create something truly magical.

Not limiting their lyrical or instrumental content, the songs never feel ostentatious or forced. [Holiday 2008, p.106]
  4. Although the material could certainly stand on its own without all of its dressings, Canopy Glow is a more complete, dynamic experiment because of them.
  5. This is a marching band that’s veered way out of formation, and is making utterly original music.
  6. Canopy Glow sees the band returning to a more straightforward pop format--as straightforward as a band with a penchant for the theatrical may ever get--with successful results.

Amazing follow up from an amazing band. I don't understand all the comparisons to Sufjan Stevens. I love his music as well but where he Amazing follow up from an amazing band.
