there's no proper concept or aim, nor any crucial, interesting riff going on, it all just feels like a jumble of drowsy, under cooked music that rarely grabs much interest and sounds oddly dated.

Caramel would have made an intriguing EP, but as a full length album it’s a true test of patience for the listener and the musical equivalent of awkwardly stumbling into a room where your sweat-drenched parents are having sex.

Caramel is a collection of half-finished songs that force you to fill in the blanks. It's just as frustrating and occasionally enlightening as that sounds.

Caramel consists of weightless, non-danceable funk, drifting in from the edge of consciousness like a vaporised, enervated Scritti Politti. [Dec 2013, p.89]
