Even with so many features, Tyga rarely lets the album get away from him, remaining in the driver's seat even when next to young stars and legends.

[Tyga] flings just about everything at the wall here. [9 Mar 2012, p.80]

It's serious when necessary, occasionally triumphant, and impressive enough that you have to consider him a force to be reckoned with.

This is a clear and definitive evolutionary improvement from his solo debut on "No Introduction," which is all a listener or review could have really asked for.

Tyga isn't a gifted lyricist, but he has a few key things going in his favor: a workmanlike ability to ride a beat, a solid singing voice, and a great ear for melody.

To Careless World's credit, at its worst it's an album that's really hard to feel any sort of way about. But it's also hard to completely ignore how well made it is.

It should in no way be regarded as a Hip-Hop album, because it's the furthest thing from it. On Careless World, Tyga recruits two of the toughest lyricists in the game, Nas and J. Cole. After hearing the songs, you have to wonder why he included them because in the end, both outshine Tyga on his own respected track. None of these songs vary too much regarding subject matter. Fame, money, and girls are the topics of choice, and he couldn't of picked a worse 3 subjects to revolve his album around. Just think about it, is any of his music going to matter in the years to come? Is his music going to define a generation? I'll leave you to answer that. Expand
