Club Thing is my favourite track of the year.

The album's best cut ("Adore Adore") is featured first. It's a pleasant, hook-filled number all about the devil. The rest of the songs unwind with a sameness that lessens the overall effect.

A very unusual and most welcome record.

  1. While this is a forward-thinking and cerebral affair, as Yoav has a love of dance music, he often works with funky grooves and rhyming lyrics that should appeal to fans with a club-oriented aesthetic.
  2. The songs on his debut album, Charmed and Strange are quirky and inventive.
  3. Yoav proves that a guitar and his voice are the only instruments you really need to make powerful, versatile music.
