    Well, it is a pretty good album, not their best, but a steady, dream-like and inventive one. Windshield Smasher is still my favorite song off Cobra Juicy.

    Cobra Juicy is an album that needs time to reveal itself. Like the band itself, it is a mysterious work that is difficult to get to the heart of, but with a little effort it is a rewarding experience.

    It's a unique record in the wider sense, but maybe less so within the band's own back catalogue--if you've yet to be snake-charmed by the occasionally venomous but oh-so-shiny Black Moth Super Rainbow, this is certainly a good place to start.

    Much of Cobra Juicy finds itself operating more on the sensitive side of their distinct weirdness, with the album sporting some of the bands gentlest, breeziest, and most romantic sounding tracks yet.
