  • Summary: This 80s-esque goth/electro-pop debut album from the Los Angeles band fronted by P. Exeter "Elijah" Blue (the son of Cher and Greg Allman) finally sees an official release, after five years of delays and two separate major label deals.

  1. Deadsy's mix of electronics, death-metal distortion and lugubrious vocals offers something magnificently alien, yet familiar. [Jun 2002, p.69]
  2. It's enough to make you think Deadsy are all a hilariously high-concept prank. Which it is, um, right?

[Deadsy's] interchangeable keyboard noodling and flat, faintly robotic vocals will excite only those desperate for labelmates Orgy to hurry up and knock out another album. [Jun/Jul 2002, p.104]
  4. If only they didn't sound like a dying Flock of Seagulls. [17 May 2002, p.78]

Deadsy is one of the most creative and fresh bands to come along in some time. There were a couple of tracks on their album that I didn't care for, but overall it was good. And I anticipate that they will only get better. They are a breath of fresh air for me after years of having to stomach boring, uninspired rock music. Expand

Deadsy Sux! They sound like that crappy 80's music with their horrible sounding keyboards. The video is really ridiculous if anyone is unfortunate to see it. Fred Durst must be losing his mind to back these guys! Expand
