TommySOct 30, 20097Good album all around. not the best, not the worst. not bad for a totally new band. three new members have added a good touch, though i miss the original vibe.

P.DruttenJan 25, 20105Between the few memorable songs this record is dripping with fillers. With high anticipations after the strong debut, it's hard not to get gravely disappointed with this one.

MikePNov 15, 20093Another album that will remind us how some bands can make Rock music really boring, spiritless and unimaginative.

JimmyCOct 28, 20099Really cohesive as an album and a complementary punch in the gut to the 1st album's punch in the face!

DanHNov 18, 20099If Black Sabbath and Deep Purple had a love child, this would be their moody adolescent offspring. Tons of music for your money; some tracks are great, all are worth listening to.

Jan 5, 201110At first it doesnt sound brilliant, but it turns out to be pretty good. Oh and its pretty funny how the only person who rated this low is named MikP obviously a brainwashed fanboy who rates things without listening to them and just follow what Patton says blindly.

Feb 20, 20115As a follow up this album really does lack. Although there are certain tracks that remind you why you love Wolfmother (Cosmic Egg , 10,000 Feet) personally i just think the whole album seems abit bland, and drowned in noise, it's more like a collection of B-Sides that were not used for a reason. All in all, disappointing - but still worth adding to your collection.

Cosmic Egg [is] a mature sophomore effort, particularly if it's just judged on all the sonic textures Wolfmorther serves up, but as the album closes with a series of meandering mysticism it's hard not to miss Stockdale's previous reliance on nasty repetitive riffs.

50Cosmic Egg is the kind of album you'd quite happily pop on for the first part of a road trip while you're full of enthusiasm, but it'd quickly get changed at the first toilet stop.

You could argue Wolfmother’s ballsy and carefree hi-octane music is all just innocent fun, ideally washed down with a six pack of tinnies. Yet it’s utterly devoid of soul and intelligence.
