  1. The effort put into creating the dark atmosphere is gratuitous, but in the context of the album it works perfectly. Add to this the fact that every song carries a killer hook and you have one of the must-hear albums of the year.
  2. Jun 13, 2011
Creep On Creepin' On is a richly textured, intriguing piece of work that bears up well to repeated listens.
  3. Jun 13, 2011
Creep On Creepin' On is the sound of Timber Timbre fully coming into its own, with romance and strangeness to spare.

They could turn even the hardest kids at school into pissy wrecks with the elegant dread-heart blues of this, their fourth album.

The way this band turns well-used Americana sounds into something frightening is impressive. It's like hearing a loved one's voice when you know that you're alone, scarier in its way than any unfamiliar sound.

Stylish as Kirk's songs can be, they aren't always well suited by Creep On's contrasting patterns.

After listening to the Creep On Creepin' On, it's recommended that the listeners get some as well--the constant bleakness and nightmare-inducing weirdness warrant some immediate remedy.

A very good album. The song "Black Water" is a true anthem. This album is ideal for indie fans. One of Canada's best albums of 2011. It is worth listening to. Expand

Their sound is truly their own, and it has a happy place in my record collection. "Happy" may not be appropriate for Creep on Creepin' On, though... grinning, absolutely, devilishly grinning. As am I when I put this on.

Also... Folk trio? Mr. Summary, maybe Dead-Folk trio, but certainly not Folk trio.

For me this album is just middle of the road. It doesn't have the minimalist appeal of their first record, or the explosive ambition of their most recent. All of the tracks kind of end up blending together and not in a good way. Expand
