I'm giving it a 5 although I haven't heard the whole album. I just had to say the the lyric "Are we human, or are we dancers" is the single gayest line I've ever heard in popular music. This is coming from someone who likes the Killers in general, as well as ABBA, David Bowie, Rufus Wainwright, etc.

The first half of the cd is interesting and catchy, but by the middle, all of the sugary coated synths and brandon's wavering voice gives you a tooth ache. By 'I can't stay', you are pleading to leave. The final song 'goodnight, travel well' is a complete trainwreck. Here is what I have concluded - Hot Fuss will continue to be The Killers best album. Day & Age comes over as over produced and trashy by the end. You would be best off buying the notable tracks off of itunes instead of the whole album: 1. Spaceman 2. Human 3. Losing Touch 4. Joy Ride 5. The World We Live In. Expand

Did no justice to The Killers, over all this album was crap.

I am very disappointed. I ran to the store conquered by the glistening nonsense, yet deeply unescapable charm of "Human", hopng the best was yet to come in the rest of teh record and all I've got out from this album is just another good song (Sapceman) wasted in kinda pointless trials to sound either U2 or Franz Ferdinand, and ultimatively reaching a watered down version of Level 42. I am genuinely let down. I prefer even Sam's Town over this unheaded attempt to glossy stadium rock. Expand

The best track off the album isn't even on the original version. "Forget About What I Said" comes with the iTunes version and outshines the rest of this mediocre album. If you're a Killers fan, go ahead and get it. It's kind of a waste, though.

I listened to this record a couple of times and... it just did not make me feel anything. There are two, maybe three songs that I found amusing, but that was it. Hot Fuss is still their best record.

I'm a huge Killers fan, but this album just isn't growing on me. It doesn't have a feeling, and no song really stands out (at least in a good way). In fact, Human grates my nerves more every time I hear it. Count me as very disappointed.

Not a bad listen, but there's not much to grab your attention or make you want to listen. It seems to pass by unnoticed.

Not a bad record from The Killers, but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed a lot of the music from the record, however, it's far from their best work.

Still can't believe this is one of most acclaimed album of Killers. Their ambition here turned off their main features that made them a great band of alternative rock. Have some cool songs but it's by far the worse Killers album.

  1. With neither the sugar rush of "Hot Fuss" nor the blustery thrills of "Sam's Town," this is the Killers' most beguilingly strange record. As an accurate reflection of its frontman, it succeeds handsomely.
  2. Too bad all that drama sometimes weighs down Flowers.

They remain fascinated by heartland mythos, but by becoming more comfortable with their glitzy roots, they've actually found the pulse of something more authentic.
