  1. Like Vegas itself, Day & Age sometimes leans toward sensory overload. But the pull of its showgirls-and-fool's-gold glory is undeniable.
  2. Day & Age is the most consistent, confident album the Killers have created so far.

Even when the songs feel light, when the stylistic havoc and production is almost absurd, you have to admire the glorious gall. [Dec 2008]
  4. While Day & Age manages to patch over most of the cracks in the Killers's façade, they still aren't done growing into the World's Biggest Band.
  5. The Killers have returned more ambitious than ever with Day & Age, but this time around, Flowers set the buzz bar a little lower, stating that it's the band's most playful record. And he's right.
  6. In this day and age, though, people would be better off cherry picking the best tracks for download.

Getting mauled by that white tiger sounds a bit more exiting. [Year End 2008]

The "weird" loops, as one reviewer mentioned, are hypnotically bold. Best album I've heard in a while. Personally, I'm enjoying it much more than Viva la Vida by Coldplay or No Line on the Horizon by U2, both bands that the Killers allegedly "aspire to become." I think the Killers have outdone both of those bands. Expand

It's slick and pop-y, the pretension has been dialed down a bit and the pallet of instruments and rhythmic styles have been expanded. A welcome move forward. Expand

Not a bad record from The Killers, but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed a lot of the music from the record, however, it's far from their best work.
