After the dismal "Phantom Moon," Sheik bounces back with a solid set of catchy (the second or third time around) rockers and appropriate ballads. Though not as affecting and immediate as his first two discs, this is a welcome return to form.

As with any Duncan Sheik effort, to really appreciate the record, patience is of the essence.

Solid album with lots of great songs. A couple below average songs, but songs like On Her Mind, Such Reveries, and For You make the album Sheik's best since his debut album.

  1. A handful of pleasant, tuneful pop songs guaranteed not to disturb the peace.
  2. Daylight ups the electricity and the songs cleverly find their way into your immediate recall.

Sheik... seems uncomfortable with the slicker presentation.
