He certainly gets outshined by the original score--but that only serves to make a much better album than many anticipated from the Boss himself.

Even if this isn't much "Deeper" than the average Three 6 Mafia album, the glitz and guts of Deeper are a big step up, making Ross sound like a Miami-fied version of Young Jeezy.

Deeper provides more of the same flawless sonics, with production contributions from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, the Runners, and DJ Toomp, and guest spots from Kanye West, Nas, and Lil Wayne. Amazingly, Ross himself has become less of an embarrassment on the mic.
