  • Summary: Who are Dirty Vegas? Chances are you have heard one and only one song from this UK poptronica trio: the track "Days Go By," used as the soundtrack to an overplayed Mitsubishi car commercial. This debut album features that song (twice) and ten others which have yet to appear on the telly.

The boys are as competent on straightforward dance tracks as they are on Verve-esque pop-rock cuts. [Jul 2002, p.80]
  2. Dirty Vegas' earnest lyrics can get in the way, but they make up for that by rejecting the desultory repetition of much electro.
  3. When they're good, they're alright, but when they're bad, they're unstoppable and Dirty Vegas' biggest mistake so far is that, sometimes, they're not nearly filthy enough.
  4. Understated and slightly surreal, this could be dance music's answer to Pink Floyd. [Aug 2002, p.122]

nothing really stands out in this album, but good listening. If you really enjoy the rhythm of house music you should be satisfied, but if you are looking for music that is a little more meaningful you will feel short-changed Expand

this album is just dull and boring. the first time i heard the song in the commercial it was somewhat catchy but after the 100th time no and to listen to the 30 sec commercial clip was ok but the whole song let alone the whole cd . ugh . the people that said this is the best album ive bought in a long time ... what have they been listening to are they trapped in a box or locked in a room ? once again . ugh not wanting to waste any good vocabulary on this review ...
