The overall effect is one of a versatile, diffuse, but somehow far more focused collection of songs than were present in Neighborhoods. [22 Dec 2012, p.68]

Dogs Eating Dogs is a strong effort.
  3. While the EP isn't the best material of the band's career, it shows a promising future that looked ever so bleak just a mere three years ago.

On their Dogs Eating Dogs EP, blink-182 return as a deeper, more mature-sounding band.

DeLonge's forgettable chord progressions feel like an afterthought to lyrics that try too hard to fit into Blink's more morbid adult persona of late.

  1. Dogs Eating Dogs keeps more or less the sound of Blink-182's latest full lenght album Neighborhoods, but I think there's something better in this EP. Dogs Eating Dogs and Boxing Day are excellent songs, while the other three songs aren't on the same level. I hope there will be a further improvement in the next album. Full Review »
