The overall effect is one of a versatile, diffuse, but somehow far more focused collection of songs than were present in Neighborhoods. [22 Dec 2012, p.68]
  2. While the EP isn't the best material of the band's career, it shows a promising future that looked ever so bleak just a mere three years ago.

A pretty damn good release for Blink-182, continuing the sound of Neighborhoods whilst experimenting in some new sounds as well.

Dogs Eating Dogs keeps more or less the sound of their last album, but I think there's something better in this EP. Dogs Eating Dogs and Boxing Day are excellent songs, while the other three songs aren't on the same level. I hope there will be a further improvement in the next album. Full Review »

They experimented with new sounds and strayed away from the purely synthetic vibe that Neighborhoods gave. Not only that, but the band recording together really shows through with the melodic movements and changes in tempo.

I couldn't give this EP series less then a 10, even if the ultimatum was a gorilla tearing my nipples off.
