    First Telekinesis album had bigger wow-effect than this. Dormarion is good and strong album, but for me it doesn´t have any surprising elements.That´s why I gave 7 from 10. So, if you liked old Telekinesis then probably you will love Dormarion as well. And if I have to point out my favorite track from this album, I would say Wires.

    Telekinesis, the project fronted by Michael Benjamin Lerner, returns with third album Dormarion and it picks up right where predecessor 12 Desperate Straight Lines leaves off. When it comes to power indie pop it really doesn’t get much better than Telekinesis. 2011’s 12 Desperate Straight Lines was a break up record that drew you in with its happy go lucky melodies and big hooks whileTelekinesis, the project fronted by Michael Benjamin Lerner, returns with third album Dormarion and it picks up right where predecessor 12 Desperate Straight Lines leaves off. When it comes to power indie pop it really doesn’t get much better than Telekinesis. 2011’s 12 Desperate Straight Lines was a break up record that drew you in with its happy go lucky melodies and big hooks while Lerner sang about some heartbreaking Dormarion finds Lerner doing much of the same type of music, but with much more positive subject matter. Former producer, Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie, is gone and in his place Spoon’s Jim Eno fills and does a great job....

    The album includes a perky Cure pastiche, a taste of synth-pop and some very Spoon-ish back-and-forth between fuzzed-out, noisy guitars, but the succinct, kinetic rockers are its high points, and leaves you wanting more of them. [No. 97, p.59]

    Lerner released two solid albums of guitar-and-drum-led rock, but he grows on Dormarion because he is finally willing to knock over the boundaries he built for himself.
