  • Summary: The debut album from the singer-songwriter best known for her work on Air's 'Moon Safari' (where she co-wrote and provided vocals for "All I Need" and "You Make It Easy").

  1. A welcome antidote to the hard rock and bubble-gum pop flooding today's airwaves.
  2. She bridges powdery lyrics and floating acoustics throughout the nine-track album, singing from an inner spirituality.
  3. This album, barely over half an hour in length, bears the hallmarks of a barrel- scraping reissue program.
  4. Basically, it's the curse of Jewel: Yank bird with acoustic guitar, homespun philosophy and twee poeticism, where the songs ramble on and on to deliver some platitudinal twaddle...

absolutely one of the best albums I've ever bought. Can't understand the reviews above. Refreshing, absorbign and totally breathtaking stuff. Quite amazing what Beth has done with such minimal production. Can't recommend it enough! Expand
