    Once again, probably not a highly sought-after sound, but then again, when an album is this well put together, who really cares?
  2. No matter who else we see in his work, this record stands on its own in terms of how it plays for the listener.

    It makes sense that, at almost an hour, it wants to make good on fulfilling its feature-length ambitions, though even the most devout midnight movie synth-pop fans will still find it a bit much.
