Apr 16, 2011Song for song, this is one of the most powerful 32 minutes of music from 2010. Van Etten's songs are spiritual folk-rock love songs which are made for couples to earnestly share their deepest thoughts while enjoying a good bottle of wine and a long, warm winter bath.

May 14, 2013Epic was one of those records I happened to just listen to one day, and what a great idea that was. Epic is easily one of my favorite records by a female artist. Her voice is so raw, so powerful. Her lyrics just compliment everything also. "Don't Do It" is one of the best tracks I've ever listened too.
Sharon Van Ettan crafts a meticulous, sweet 34 minute masterpiece. A -

May 10, 2022Very Good! The only single thing that's lacking here is more music! It's too short, but, as almost everything Van Etten touches, it's true art.
