Much more organic and live. [#25, p.100]
  2. 80
Their arrangements are tidy as ever and the disc's energized pop sounds like it came together on the stage rather than the studio. [May 2007, p.97]
  3. It doesn't really matter how this record sits in comparison to the last few; it's gorgeous.
  4. Everybody is ultimately a misguided abandonment of what made the band's earlier work so essential. [#17, p.87]

On first listen I had mixed feelings for this album; some of the tracks seemed a little boring. This album is turning out to be a creeper though, a slow cooker; one of the few albums from this year I'll still be listening to next year. Collapse

shocked at the low marks. 'everybody' is the sound of a creatively reinvigorated band and perfect summer listening.

It's the Sea and Cake's standard acoustic flavored post-rock , that's it. Same genre, new material. It;s definitely an intricate and sincere listen but at times it will bore you. Expand
