  • Summary: This is the full-length debut for the Seattle band (featuring members of the now defunct Carissa's Wierd) that has drawn comparisons to, among others, Neil Young.

  1. It takes a few listens to sink in, but Everything is transcendent, shimmering, layered, and smartass emo-pop fully ready for stadium saturation.
  2. An astoundingly seductive debut.
  3. My Morning Jacket are much more upfront, and pretty easy to share. Band of Horses keep a lot shrouded in effects and indistinct lyrics.
  4. It gets a little long in the tooth in places and samey-sounding.
  5. Overall, a modest debut from a band that has potential for a mass following down the road.
  6. Everything All The Time is almost pitifully lacking in soul, and it suffers from a few real snoozers, to boot. [May 2006, p.162]

One of the most honest, gimmick-free records I've heard in the past year.

A great album and worth every penny. Saying this record is bland and lacking in atmosphere is a travesty in my opinion, Band of Horses create A great album and worth every penny. Saying this record is bland and lacking in atmosphere is a travesty in my opinion, Band of Horses create a poignant, profound and epic sound perfect for those moments when its raining outside and your as miserable as the weather. If your looking for The Strokes then don't come any closer, but if you like music which allows you to relax and ponder its intricasies then this is for you. :) Expand

amazing. I don't ususally like music so slow, but BOH pulls it off amazingly. Ben's vocals are great, and love the lyrics. Best CD amazing. I don't ususally like music so slow, but BOH pulls it off amazingly. Ben's vocals are great, and love the lyrics. Best CD is bought in a while. Expand
