    It's good to hear one of the most distinctive voices in rock after too long a period of self-imposed exile. That being said, what he's doing colloborating with the drowning man at the bottom of the talent pool is beyond me. I guess he felt he owed him after he crashed the gate at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and inducted Seger. Their duet must have made Vince Gill wish he had It's good to hear one of the most distinctive voices in rock after too long a period of self-imposed exile.     It's a long time between albums and the rust shows. While the subject matter is classic (mature) Seger (think the Distance, not Night Moves), there isn't a memorable melody among them. This is ho-hum of the highest order.

    A couple barnburners in the first part of the album show signs of life, but Seger's voice is painfully bad on some ballads. Also too much filler.
