    Crystal's songs are beautiful and her lyrics are honest and real. I love her melodies and have to say, I really like the songs she writes without anybody else best. I'm looking forward to seeing Crystal's career blossom. I do prefer songs like Holy Toledo, Farmer's Daughter, and Speak Now, that have a folky sound to them. I prefer that to the more country sounding songs but all in all, this is an excellent debut.… Full Review »

    Despite occasionally treading some pretty unexciting territory, Farmer's Daughter is a very strong debut for Idol's folk-tinged Crystal Bowersox. Her songwriting is honest and thoughtful, a refreshing change from the typical post-Idol fare. Crystal might not blaze up the charts with her old-school sounds, but her future is very bright if this album is any indication.… Full Review »

    This would be a strong debut album from any artist, I don't listen to this type a music and I gave it an 8. Its my second favorite album for and Idol artist, the first being Allison Iraheta's debut from last year.… Full Review »
