    The only downside to "Feedback" is that by the time you reach the swinging latino rhythms of the instrumental finale "Canto de Ossanha" 52 minutes of hip-hop soul just won't seem like enough.

    A bit short, but I love their track "Word it Out" with Dave Matthews Band. This was the first J5 album that I ever bought and listened to though, so maybe thats why i'm giving it a higher rating than the rest of you. I guess i'll check out their older stuff.… Expand

    Ok J5 have been one of my favourite groups for some time and I've never had a bad word to say about an album they've released until Ok J5 have been one of my favourite groups for some time and I've never had a bad word to say about an album they've released until now. This album has about 4 or 5 decent tracks(although none outstanding) on it but the rest is nowhere near the J5 standard we have all heard in the past. The track with the Dave Matthews band is terrible and should have never been heard by any living creature never mind included on the album. Now the major problem I have is Brown Girl produced by Scott Storch. This is possibly one of the worst tracks ever to pollute my ears, as far as I'm concerned J5 have lost all credibility by including this track on the album. Scott Storch and J5 may possibly burn for all eternity in the fiery pits of hell for creating such a musical monstrosity. I have liked most J5 albums in the past, Power in Numbers had a couple of dodgy tracks but compared to this new album I would have to say its a masterpiece. I would avoid buying this album unless you're an avid J5 fan. This will do nothing to impress you its just mediocre pop to say the least. I know it must be difficult for the band without Cut Chemist on this album but it just shows you how much of an influence he must have been on their previous releases. J5 make sure the next album is worth the wait and stay clear of talentless guest producers please.… Expand

    Their lead single has one of the worst artists ever on it. The only real reason to actually LIKE J5 (Cut Chemist) left. There is no variety on the tracks--every vocalist has his piece on every song, leaving no room for anyone to stand out. To top it all off, Scott Storch produces. I should mention that I like hip-hop/rap, and I liked most of "Power In Numbers". Ghostface Killah's "Fishscale" is better than this, Mr. Lif's "Mo' Mega" is better than this, hell, even though The Street's "The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living" sucked, it still had a few good beats in its system. Therefore, I would say, in response to Tom B's claim that "Feedback" cuts through the crappy output of...something (I assume hip-hop/rap, but he could be talking about pop music as a whole, too), that "Feedback" is disguised as a wonderful throwback to the good old days when all that mattered was your ability on the mic. In truth, this is just "The Massacre" for potheads.… Expand
