An album whose imagination is fortified and enlivened by the limitlessness of punk rock and musical experimentation.

This is music for uncontrollable giggle fits, playing fetch with over excited border collies, and sledding down steep, snowy hills with your kids; this is music that makes you feel intensely alive.

[8.4] I usually am not that good at predicting what an artist will sound like before I listen to them, but as far as instrumentals go, Melt Banana is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. The electrifying guitars are really what make this album, and while I wasn't immediately comfortable with the vocals (which appropriately compliment the guitars), it definitely fits well with what this band is making. It's fast, fun, and in my opinion somewhat accessible electronic music. I'm sure this isn't the strangest Japan has to offer. Full Review »
