Aug 15, 20117Karen O and Co. created one of the most important albums of the decade with Fever To Tell. It wasn't until It's Blitz that they won me over. I love the energy of Fever To Tell, it has this raw, punk vibe. "Maps" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and "Y Control" was the template of where they'd go next.

OliverIMay 11, 20039E! Online isn't for shit. "Fever to Tell" is, alongside the Libertines' "Up the Bracket," one of the most stunning debut albums of the year. "Black Tongue" and "Man" ooze with energy, but the real showstopper is closer "Modern Romance," all mournful lyrics and beautifully eerie backward guitars.

GenevieveBMay 8, 200310karen o has saved rock and roll. she spits, she screeches but remains blissfully innocent to lal the hype. sounds like a gorgeous train wreck.

KirkBMay 7, 200310Karen O's voice is so raw! The original sound of the YYY's is awe-inspiring. A truly class album! YYY's will be on the Radio 1 satge at Reading on Sunday 24th August and are likely to steal the thunder from headliners The Music. Buy this album!

ElaineMMay 9, 200310This album has a song for every mood, from the loud and almost hilarious "Tick" to the peaceful "Modern Romance," by getting this CD, you can't go wrong.

BrianMMay 13, 20037Lacking the intensity of their self-titled EP, Fever to Tell is satisfying, but not great.

KleftonAJun 6, 200310Truly a classic. This CD is awesome. I love. It is soft and loud and I even hear something slightly reminiscent to the Chili Peppers. "Rich" and "No, No, No" are great songs. Every minute is good, and it is all around great.

DavidQJul 30, 200310I love Karen O's vocal riffs not to mention the beats that their drummer slams to.

TeRiSSep 5, 20038Upbove average album. Highly-original, and the lyrics symbolize the life of a modern woman. Not a fake image at all. Its what the rock is all about.

DaveOFeb 2, 200410Yes! Yes! Yes! Excellent disc. First time I've ever kept hitting play again and again, no skips, over and over, all in one evening. Can't wait to see them live next month.

[Anonymous]Apr 14, 20048i wasn't crazy about them, but my friend brought me to a concert of theirs and it was amazing. They are NOT a whitestripes knockoff. Maybe you have to see them live to appreciate them, but you can tell that there is something special here.

marsh88Apr 24, 20069I love the YYY's. i got there "Show Your Bones" album before this one, so it was big breath of freakish air from a band that sounds so much calmer on the usually slow, but nonetheless amazing "show Your Bones". It took 3 listens for me to get used to it, and i can'tsto listening to them! i recoment both there albums, and there EP's.

AlexandraFJul 19, 20079The whole thing is unusual but especially fantastic.

-
HeatherJun 2, 20083All but the last couple songs sound the same. Why does she need to distort her voice if she can truly sing??

-
maxmaxNov 16, 200310a breath of fresh air. loud, sloppy, youthful and brilliant. this band was meant to happen. "Rich" "Date with the Night" "Tick" playful and raw. "Man" and "Maps" masterpieces. this is a young band. long live the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!

PatricioRMay 15, 20038I like the album. It's a solid effort. Good songs, a lot of strength. The peak of the record is Maps, a great song, emotional. Other high points are Y Control, Black Tongue, Rich. What it's important about The Yeah yeah yeahs is that they sound honest, powerful, and very solid. The singer is great. One of the best albums of 2003 along with last Blur's masterpiece, Think Tank.

BrandonHApr 15, 20069The sound that Karen O is sometimes bigger than is still electric enough to escape the dreaded sophomore slump label. A lot of fun.

RichardNov 15, 20083Ear aching noise. i smashed the CD to pieces after 3 listens.

ClifCMar 13, 20099The girl has a voice! Her shouts are very musical, a bit like Björk but in a style totally different. The music is almost perfect: very catchy despite the unusual style (in a commercial sense, 'course). Standout tracks: "Rich", "Date with the Night" (this one is like 11/10), "Tick" and "Y-Control".

Dec 16, 20109The Yeah Yeah Yeah's debut album is nothing short of astonishing. It mixes punk-rock with Karen O's beautiful vocals. The guitar riffs are catchy and the drum beats are amazing. The first three songs are great songs. And "Maps" is just a beautiful song. All In All, Fever To Tell is a great debut album. A-

Mar 24, 201210This might be the most complete rock 'n' roll album ever recorded. It's an overused cliche but there actually are no bad songs on this record. It goes from strength to strength. Anyone who listens to 'Black Tongue' while driving and doesn't crash from overexcitement probably isn't human. 'Maps' might be the best song ever recorded, no fooling. If you don't own this then your life isn't complete.
-
Apr 25, 20122"Maps" is a great love song, but the rest of this album is just a noise rock album striving to fit into the hipster sense of cool. Do not buy this record.

Capable punk rock with a slightly skuzzy, yet unmistakably pop edge.
-
While not quite the epochal showing demanded by its creation, the album holds out an impressive range with a few different directions to follow.
-
80The songs on Fever to Tell swerve like they're being followed by the police, constantly changing and transforming. [May 2003, p.124]
