A super-team of independently successful musicians, Fiction Family consists of John Foreman of Switchfoot and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek. The guitar duo blends bluegrassy country with edgy acoustic rock, mixing avant-garde electronica into a neo-folk style. The end result is familiar sounding melodies with surprising detours along the way. After a couple listenings, I found the CD (yes, I own a hard copy of the album) was the perfect background music to any task.
