Fire from the Sky fully returns the band to what made Shadows Fall so appealing in the first place--without taking a step backward.

Fire From the Sky is suitably heavy, grim but not ridiculous, and its best songs will remind listeners of Metallica.

It's a lean, mean metallic assault from a band who only seem to get better with age. [11 Aug 2012, p.53]

This [is] their best album in an age. [Sep 2012, p.110]

Shadows Fall previous effort 'Retribution' was in my opinion criminally underrated. It truly is one of their finest moments. With 'Fire From The Sky' the band were able to bring it once again. Shadows Fall have truly fortified their sound on this album, embracing everything they've tried musically throughout their career. I'm sure having Adam D in the producer's chair also helps. Definitely one of the best albums I've heard this year. SF are here to stay! Expand
