bsApr 30, 2007This is a great album. It shows an evolution in Tobin's sound, and it gets me even more excited for his future works. I've never had a problem with any of the material he has put out; he keeps getting better with each release.

vinnieLMar 17, 2007One of the best electronic albums in many years. He is virtuoso. Fantastic melodies and the he shows us his rythmic understanding. His choise of sounds is fantastic. And the album is so well prodused.

jayMar 12, 2007Nice to hear from Tobin again. The slower sounding songs take some getting used to, but overall it's great to hear him experimenting and not repeating himself. Not his best, but certainly interesting and know more interested in hearing his next and where he will go ...

UncutThe results have a clinical, cerebral appeal, but--perhaps predictably--sometimes fail to deliver instinctive musical kicks. [Mar 2007, p.100]

In the end, what makes The Foley Room Tobin's best album in seven years is the way his bent for organized chaos manifests as a deft control of every sound that surrounds him: Anything's a beat, everything's a break, and the difference between sound and music is entirely contextual.

A smooth, natural progression from Supermodified.
