This album including 'Flockaveli' is as good as gangsta rap got in the 10's.

Jay Rock, arguably one of the most underrated mc's in the game today, delivers solid bars, which in addition to the very interesting production especially from Willie B, brings a fresh West Coast sound.

It ain't hard to find the main subjects of the album. Hustlin', thuggin', money, drugs and women, brought in a very interesting way, by not accepting them as his ideal lifestyle but a necessity to his survival.

To conclude, Jay Rock gave us one of the best and most overlooked projects of the year (2011).

I love the production on the album, and the beats are dope. Jay Rock brings his A game to his album by having great bars, flow, rapping skills, and his story telling ability. Jay Rock's debut album is a great start to his career. Great album. Full Review »

But there are too many tracks, half of the tracks are useless. And it's too repetitive. And, the last track, is a good track, but i'm just tired of see it everywhere in the Jay Rock mix tapes... But, it stays a good album. Hood Gone Love It, No Joke, Elbows, Code Red and Kill or Be Killed are just great. I hope Rock will do something of more good for his new album. Full Review »
