  • Summary: The once mighty No Limit empire may have fallen a bit, but Master P is still making records. This is his first under a new distribution deal with Universal.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 1 out of 4
  2. Negative: 2 out of 4
  1. Isn't noticeably better or worse than most of his others.
  2. If you look beyond everything that's downright embarrassing about this album -- the reliance on interpolations rather than original songwriting, the amateur-at-best rapping, the generic beats -- you'll notice a few minor improvements.
  3. 30
While P's rhyme schemes haven't changed much, he has improved his musical backdrops significantly. [Feb 2002, p.121]
  4. A mercifully brief running time (less than 50 minutes) and a few scattered moments of autobiographical storytelling help make Gameface marginally less disposable than its most recent predecessors.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 2 out of 2
  2. Mixed: 0 out of 2
  3. Negative: 0 out of 2
