this is what rapping is all about. nas pours out his heart in this record. great comeback album. the lyrics was superb. he had maybe a few bad songs other than that it was very decent.

Really touchy and mind-blowing album. Nas' lyricism is top notch here, and this album makes you think for real. Truly amazing album, underrated classic if you ask me

And Nasty Nas strikes again with another platinum WORTHY album, which many artists never are WORTHY but go platinum anyway. And all of this in the midst of the Nas - Jigga feud that Nas won and Jigga the fake ass n**** had to hope for forgiveness for sucking ****. Nas followed Stillmatic with his 4th instant classic album that won the feud. At this point, Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones should be a household name everywhere. Expand

By far my favorite album from Nas entire career at this point. Though production is not stellar, it certainly isn't lacking as compared to previous albums. Lyrically its by far one of the best in hip hop and Nas' career

This is a real hip-hop album. It may not be as good as It Was Written but he matured as a rapper and was very deep with his lyrics. Nas did his thing on this one.

Nas' lyrics are nuts, they are great. I think this album is deffinetly up there with the rest of his stuff. He is by far one of the most talented rappers out there, he gives out educational rhymes along with a nice beat.

The entire album is mind raveling. Nas is definitely in a league of his own by revealing the true entity of hip-hop or should I say, "street-hop". His lyrics are personal, truthful, and street. And at times educational. Nas is not commercial; but more like a rapper writing down his experiences on a note pad.

very good album, I personally think it is better than stillmatic, not a classic like illmatic, but probably his 3rd best album, behind Illmatic and the underrated "Lost Tapes"

no one listens to nas the way i do. if i listen to other cds is just because i dont just want to have them hanging around. God son is an example of a superior lyrisist.

Nas is the most intelligent rapper, besides Pac n Immortal Technique. This cd should be put in a category of rap honour all by itself. It'll be a sad day when Nas retires from the world of hiphop.

This song is played to my 4 year old daughter every morning. So she know she can be what she wants to be. This song could be the anthem for all children, for all women, for all men to be the best that they can be. Good Job Nas

Probably the best album Nas has ever made!!! And this is coming from a person who was introduced to hip-hop by "It Was Written" and fell in love with hip-hop because of Nas.

Nas doesn't ruin a decent beat, but rarely is he able to improve one.
  2. The nice thing about God’s Son, although it isn’t fantastic or at the level of Stillmatic, is that it honestly doesn’t feel rushed. Nas is responsible for the lyrical content of the album, and it, like his previous releases, is nearly flawless.
  3. A welcome return to form.
