The 90s were an interesting decade. It provided us with greats such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden and a host of others, but it also steam-rolled our ear-buds with Limp Bizkit. A band that had moments of brilliance, but for the most part it was dogged down by Dursts mediocrity. It comes no surprise that Gold Cobra isn't a step into the new millennium, butThe 90s were an interesting decade. It comes no surprise that Gold Cobra isn't a step into the new millennium, but rather a collection of 90s nu metal, served in a shiny new wrapper. Great for annoying the Hannah Montana kids, but dismal for personal enjoyment. Collapse

Steer clear folks, Limp Bizkit haven't aged a bit, and are still the manical, immature, teenage angst filled, type of vermin that exists in the music industry, and Gold Cobra proves they aren't going away, even though their lack of talent pushes them through, horrible, please avoid.

Seriously? Are you kidding me? I am going to bet money that Limp Bizkit wanted to try and make an album that was somehow worse than Results May Vary despite Wes Borland being back in the band! And this is the only credit I'm giving the album is this. This album may be bad, but its not as insulting as Dedicated To Chaos by Queensryche.

The album plays to the band's strengths, but there's simply nothing here as catchy as "My Way" or as infectiously fun as "Break Stuff."

    Oft-delayed, petulant, and hook-devoid "comeback." [1 Jul 2011, p.74]

Gold Cobra reminds us of how much fun a tight, no-holds-barred rap-metal record can be in the right hands.
