This album is mostly flawless from start to finish. Songs like "Question Existing", "Good Girl Gone Bad", "Sell Me Candy", "Lemme Get Dat", and a few others despratly need taken off this album. Highlights include "Hate Myself For Loving You", "Umbrella", "Push Up On Me", "Breakin' Dishes", "Shut Up And Drive", "Rehab", "If I Never See Your Face Again", "Disturbia", "Take A Bow"!

I think people are afraid to give Rihanna the credit she deserves. This is surprisingly a great album, made even more impressive when you realize how far she has come in 2 years. Umbrella, Breakin' Dishes, and Sell Me Candy are my songs for the summer. Whatever critics may think.

By far the coolest album I've heard this summer. It's just so goddamn catchy, energetic, wild, edgy and addictive, just the way I like it. Rihanna has truly progressed tremendously both as a singer and song-writer, and she looks good doing it. Beyonce move over...the real star of R&B is right here. The best R&B album of this year, no contest.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" will not stand among 2007's best albums, or best R&B albums, for that matter. In truth, it features primarily superficial subject matter, and Rihanna can't manage to fully reign supreme, as sizzling production often muffles her very attempts to reveal her authentic voice. But Ms. Fenty's earned herself several dazzlers for her album's effort; there are actually moments where one can hear something remarkable from the beauty. She's got a long way to go, vocally (JoJo, four years her junior, trumps her) and artistically (she hasn't written or arranged anything herself, and she fails to completely shine in any one producer's direction). Regardless, she's still loveable, and she's still just nineteen. With three albums tucked away, here's hoping Robyn'll rest for a while and enjoy the arena of life, which will have her woodshedding and answering the queries of "Question Existing--" "Who am I living for?" "Is this my limit?" No friggin' way. "Can I endure some more?" To that, I am anxious to hear the answer. Expand

I'm really not a fan of most pop music, but the album is quite good, although very calculated. Almost any of the songs except for 1 or 2 could be singles. Rihanna has found her niche, and she is best suited for dance-type tracks rather than ballads such as "Unfaithful". This will be one of the better R&B albums of the year.

Although the title says "Good Girl Gone Bad" I think that "Good Girl Gone Mainstream" would be a better one, because nothing about this album is certainly bad or even naughty. Of course there are some pseudo-sexual songs like "Push Up On Me" or "Sell Me Candy", but the CD's only bad-ass moment is the highlight of Rihanna's career "Umbrella". Somente em “Questing existing” e em “If i never see your face again” a barbadiana deixa um pouquinho a desejar, porém nada alarmante o suficiente a ponto de tirar a integridade do álbum. Contudo, “Good girl gone bad” possui um charme esplendorosamente atraente o suficiente para convencer jovens e adultos com temas variando entre carros, guarda-chuvas e alguns conflitos amorosos. «Good Girl Gone Bad» never settles on a sound, and Rihanna vacillates between aping Gretchen Wilson, Ashanti, Gwen Stefani, and Pink. Nonetheless, she often sounds every bit like the superstar she clearly intends to be. Rihanna works with edgier and wittier verse than on her two previous albums but lyrics are once again an Achilles high heel for her.

To everyone who only knows the album for themselves of hits, because the girl and stuffed with hits. The album becomes an opening of a perfect style, she knows how to use this in her voice and that has potential. In a better quality its sound is a perfection and its cohesive songs in a better sphere of music.

Este é o exato momento em que conhecemos a essência da Rihanna e ela consegue se consagrar como uma das principais vozes da geração. Boas letras, batidas, boa voz e muita energia. Orgulho.

Easily one of Rihanna's best albums and the one that propelled her to stardom. she can do no wrong with hits like Umbrella Don't stop the music and later in the reloaded version Disturbia and Take a Bow.

This is where everything started ;) Definetly better than her first 2 albums. There are some nice dance tracks and also R&B tracks with an acoustic guitar. My favorites are Umbrella, Don't Stop The Music and Question Existing.

On "Good Girl Gone Bad" Rihanna matures and finally leaves the teen pop star image behind. It's 2007 and anyone who didn't know Rihanna until then has been aware of her ever since. The album, loaded with feel-good hits, satisfies with one chart hit after the other.

With her third album, Rihanna does almost everything right. Catchy lyrics and hooks, simple but snappy, cool beats and what dance pop is all about – it's easy to dance to. After 15 years it has become a pop classic, which is just as hot today as it was back then.

    My favorites:
    "Umbrella"
    "Don't Stop the Music"
    "Rehab"

Focusing more on catchy hooks and Fergie-style chants than lyrics helps disguise her vocal limitations. [9 Jun 2007]
  3. Rihanna works with edgier and wittier verse than on her two previous albums.
