  • Summary: The third album for the German electronica artist.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 11 out of 21
  2. Negative: 0 out of 21
  1. An album that doesn't immediately astound, but gradually unfurls in dense atmospheric strands.
  2. This, his third album and major-label debut, stretches this sea of sound even further, ebbing and flowing from ethereal opener "Never Be The Same," to the folky strum of "For Good."
  3. Goodbye is striking and rewarding in its own way; it just might take a little more time to sink into the murky new agey abyss.
  4. Schnauss sounds like a cross between Chapterhouse, My Bloody Valentine circa Soon, the Cocteau Twins and Enya, chugging along on barely audible Balearic beats.

Exceedingly deep and equally fragile, Schnauss has definitely continued in the right direction with this album. Truly thought provoking and touching, so rarely does electronica succeed so perfectly at emoting pure sweet emotion. Played live the music is surprisingly better, a rare occurence in this genre. Schnauss is too often underrated and misunderstood, but in the following years, his solid and devout following will surely continue to grow. Expand

This album is just made to put on in the car.It makes even the most mondain shopping trip into an epic voyage. Not the best album from Ulrich so far mind you but it's up there with 'a strangely isolated place'. Just put it on and drive towards a hazy sunset and you'll realise what this album is all about. Bliss. Expand

Quite good. Some of the tracks have a tendency to sound like each other. Worth listening to for 'Goodbye' though.
